About Varna

Varna is located in north-eastern Bulgaria, on the Black Sea coast. History of Varna goes back centuries. In the 7th century BC, Odessos fortress, built by Greek colonists from the city of Miletus, already stood on this site. In the year 15 AD, it became part of the Roman Empire. The city was named after the Bulgarian name “Varna” in the 9th century, although it finally became part of the Bulgarian kingdom only in the 13th century. In the era of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom, Varna turned into a busy shopping centre, which traded with Genoa, Venice, Dubrovnik. The tourist boom of the twentieth century turned Varna into one of the favourite vacation spots of Bulgarian and foreign tourists.

About Sinemorets

Sinemorets is a quiet place with good restaurants, beautiful beaches and picturesque nature. The resort is located in the southern part of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, very close to the border with Turkey.
Also not far from Sinemorets during underwater research in the bay “Potamya” were found ceramic fragments from the 5th-4th century BC. and from the Middle Ages. Underwater research has revealed anchors and lead plating on an ancient ship. There are Thracian burial mounds and a small fortress on the peninsula.
